Spring

Yesterday, I saw men of the Berlin city cleaning the pavement. I thanked them and I was delighted - I consider it as a sign that spring comes, when the gravel is removed like the Winterling, crocuses and snowdrops, which I see in the morning while jogging in the gardens near my house.

Collective healing

I am still very moved by the matter of the plane crash in New York. Of course, because I have flown the track shortly before myself, but also because it just happened there - where a few years before planes flew into skyscrapers and triggered world collective trauma - but especially among people in New York.
I wonder how the people feel, if they have now seen that there is another way. You have seen how a potential disaster of a similar magnitude could be averted - by caring, quick, wise actions of those who are responsible, selfless behavior, a chain of good circumstances and an element that could be described as "miracle". I wonder if such a collective experience also brings healing - or at least weaken the impact of the trauma previously experienced. At least I can imagine this.

New / old books

Two books that I am reading:
Newly purchased: The ABC's of feelings. Very sensitive descriptions of about 60 different emotions and moods and their meaning and purpose in our system. The descriptions will help me to better recognize their own feelings and rename them.
New lent: And that is good. My life for policy. The biography of "my" mayor. Well-written. Lets the person, who is currently governing our city coming closer.
