Encounters in Soho
Yesterday I spent - apart from an evening visit to the fascinating Museum of Jewish Heritage - the first full day in Tribeca (new trend corner) and Soho, a more fancy chic area with many shops, restaurants "Make Food, Not War!" and galleries.
In a shop, I have discovered a wonderful facility book. Jonathan Adler: My Prescription for non-Depressive Living ": Wonderfully colorful, creative, playful ... just beautiful ... I got myself into the book, his witty lyrics and beautiful pictures lost as an employee spoke to me. I told him how wonderful I think the book is. He said and pointed two fingers on his chest: "That is my style!" We spoke a little about the dollar and the euro ... another employee with awe in his voice, told me later, "The one you talked to was Jonathan Adler himself. He is the author and designer ... he owns all the shops .. ". Funny ...
Life is full of surprises, if you are only open for it.
